Known for his rigorous and innovative litigation style, Gabe Harvis represents factually innocent plaintiffs in federal and state wrongful conviction cases and manages EEP’s Civil Rights Division, overseeing constitutional claims involving government misconduct. Early in his career, he was trained by the City of New York to defend civil rights cases and went on to handle more than 350 such actions in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, including 10 jury trials and arguments before the Second Circuit. Gabe also teaches civil rights law and has trained incoming Second Circuit law clerks on § 1983 litigation.
