EEP Law secures a $9,250,000 settlement for a carpenter injured in a scaffold collapse
Sometimes even severe injuries aren’t immediately noticed by people who have been hurt. In this case, our client, a carpenter doing work on a major Park Ave building fell 15 feet when the scaffold he was told to work on collapsed.
Our client didn’t realize he sustained a head injury, never formally reported his accident and didn’t seek medical treatment until one week after he fell. When he finally went to the ER, our client was diagnosed with a a brain injury that required surgery.
When we first met our client, he was told by others that he wouldn’t have a successful case because he didn’t report his fall and waited to seek medical treatment. We saw things very differently and fought for our client until the time of trial, where this case settled.
