Eileen is proud to stand alongside her colleagues at EEP - the most dedicated and hard-working plaintiffs’ team in NYC. Eileen is a native New Yorker. Born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens, and attended St. John’s University School of Law, she is now back in Brooklyn where she lives with her husband and children.

Eileen focuses on substantive motions and appeals in all aspects of personal injury practice including municipal liability, motor vehicle and premises liability; she also has a special interest in NYS’s Labor Law which provides special protection for construction workers, and especially those who are working at an elevation, or otherwise injured due to a gravity-related risk.

Attorney Spotlight - Eileen Kaplan, Esq.

Eileen truly loves working in the legal field. She says, “It’s a privilege to fight for our clients, the very nature of it and the profound impact you can have on a client and their family is deeply rewarding.” When asked where her motivation comes from she’s quick to respond, “I’m driven, driven to succeed, driven to win, and in a very real way, that serves to benefit our clients.”

Indeed it does, and to keep winning she says there are three key character traits that make for a great injury attorney; perseverance, resilience and empathy. Adding, these are essential not only for injury attorneys, but for all young people to develop, and encourages her own children to do the same.

Armed with a diverse set of skills in research, writing and advocacy, she’s an integral part of the appeals and motions procedures for the firm.

Eileen says, “Our goal is to have a very direct and positive effect on our client’s lives, when we win a case the compensation allows them to move on (from life altering injuries) and continue to provide for their families.

Having had experience in other firms, Eileen sees EEP as unique; “EEP is empathy in action”, quoting the first part of the firm's tagline; ‘Counsel that Cares’ – “it's truly embraced here - from the first intake to the case conclusion, from the Partners to paralegals and support staff.”

“This is serious stuff!” she says, and it is, Eileen and the firm are deeply devoted to changing the lives of their clients for the better.
